About me

I'm Stephan Moerman.

My journey started at 13 when I built my first website with help from my father. Admittedly I was a bit more focused on the clan/gaming part of the website, but it did peak my interest. I was immediately captivated by the idea that I could create something anyone in the world could see and use. That spark of possibility, turning an idea into something real that people actually interact with, has driven everything I've done since.

Growing up, I was equally obsessed with cars and computers. At 3 years old, I could name every car brand and model (a skill that still impresses at dinner parties), and you'll still catch me waking up at 5am to watch Formula 1 races on Sunday mornings. There's something about the precision, strategy, and split-second decisions in F1 that mirrors what I love about technology leadership.

After getting sidetracked by video games for a few years, as any self-respecting teenager would, my passion for software development reignited at 16. I started building websites for local businesses and eventually in my early 20s launched a web development agency. I was hooked on the technical challenges, but quickly realized I needed to understand the business side just as deeply.

That led me through several startups, some successful, others valuable learning experiences, until I landed my dream role as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). After a few years, though, I realized I wanted to build more than just one product. I wanted to help multiple organizations solve their most complex technical challenges.

Today, I work as a Fractional CTO and Full-stack Developer, helping startups, SMBs, and Enterprise corporations build web applications that their users genuinely love. I also tackle the occasional SEO project and help businesses implement growth strategies that actually work. The common thread? I'm still excited about creating something that makes a real difference.
